DILA. Transforming Ukraine’s largest lab network into a digital health partner

UKRAINE 2024-2026STRATEGY, UX/UI DESIGN, PROJECT SUPERVISION, SERVICE DESIGN, AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Together with Dila, we redefined the company's role — from a lab for test results to a long-term partner in conscious health. We worked with Dila's strategic team and supervised multiple partners to bring the transformation to life. New brand identity. Mobile app with health trends, family profiles, and clear biomarker explanations. Redesigned branch experience with new client journeys and service standards. Two years. One result: a company with the confidence to deepen existing relationships and welcome new ones.

Result status

Waiting for results is one of the most anxious moments in the journey.

We made that state visible. Instead of silence, users see what’s happening — whether a test is being processed and when to expect it. It turns uncertainty into something predictable, even before the result arrives.

Ordering flow

Ordering tests shouldn’t feel like scrolling through a long list — it’s really about making the right decision.

Instead of overwhelming users with hundreds of options, we structured the experience around intent: what you need right now, not what exists in the catalogue. The interface guides you from uncertainty to a clear choice, reducing friction at the very first step.

"We discovered a great partner to create a strategy and transform the company, which is more than a product."

Appointment reminder

Healthcare often fails not in diagnosis, but in follow-up.

Timely, clear reminders turn lab visits into part of a routine rather than something easy to forget. The system supports continuity — not just one visit, but the next step in a longer health journey.

Family profile

Health is rarely managed individually. The product reflects how people actually live: one person often coordinates care for others. Family profiles allow users to manage multiple health histories in one place, without losing clarity or control. Each family member keeps their own health profile history, while coordination stays simple and transparent.

To make navigation faster and more intuitive, each person is represented by a distinct avatar — a simple visual cue that helps users instantly recognise who’s who. It makes the structure easier to navigate and adds a more personal, human feel to the experience.

Electronic certificate

Offline and online experiences need to work as one. The electronic certificate bridges that gap. It moves seamlessly between app and physical interaction, reducing friction at the point of service while keeping everything accessible in one place.

Brand in context

Healthcare doesn’t have to feel clinical and distant. The updated visual language introduces warmth and clarity without losing trust.

The identity is built around the idea of enlightenment — making the invisible visible and the complex understandable. It reflects a shift in the laboratory’s role: from a place of procedures to a partner that helps people navigate their health.

This wasn’t a radical rebrand. With 260+ active locations, change had to be evolutionary — designed to coexist with the existing environment while gradually reshaping how the brand is perceived.
