Norvana has been named a nominee at the UX Design Awards 2026 — one of 195 projects selected from more than 500 entries worldwide, in the Concept category alongside health and assistive-technology work from 42 countries.
What got nominated
We designed Norvana, an AI health companion that reasons over HealthKit data, bloodwork, medical history, and conversation to guide people through sleep, nutrition, activity, and stress. Three views replace the usual cluttered health dashboard — an assessment, a daily view, and long-term goals. One input bar takes voice, text, or a photo of a meal. The AI decides how to respond, composing the answer from a component library instead of a fixed template.
The jury's write-up landed on the same problem we described in The Making of Norvana: a sleep report means something different to an athlete than to someone with insomnia, and no static mockup can show you that difference. We stopped designing screens and started building in code — testing against our own HealthKit data — before we drew a single final interface.

The UX Design Awards are run by IDZ Berlin and judged twice a year by an independent international jury. For the Autumn 2026 season, the jury reviewed entries from 42 countries and nominated 195 — a shortlist that stands as its own distinction, separate from the Gold Awards.
