Azercell is the leading telco operator in Azerbaijan, covering over 99% of the country. Being the first on the market to test the 5G network over the country, Azercell doesn’t want to stop on this. In close cooperation with the regional «Pasha» bank Azercell wanted to introduce comfortable daily banking for more than 1 million telco app users.
Azercell partnered with The Gradient to design the multi-stream app with its challenges and tasks complexities. We designed a new app starting from the credit card design finishing with brand new style for existing ecosystem of products. B2B app, website and web app were redesigned to a new style and grew in a features list with the recent update.
In two years of cooperation with Azercell, we have helped them launch three applications, and we are continuing our cooperation even further.

Two apps in one
We designed the navigation to be clear and intuitive, allowing users to switch between products easily with an elegant switcher. Whether you have a fintech card or multiple phone numbers, the structure of the app remains consistent, ensuring a smooth user experience for everyone.
Meet the akart
The onboarding process was designed to be informative, engaging, and enjoyable, with the goal of integrating existing users into the Azercell fintech ecosystem.
At the same time, we wanted the fintech part not to be overwhelming. Therefore, all financial transactions are designed to be familiar and easy to use. Our goal is to make basic money operations convenient, ensuring that there are no potential entry barriers.
Really honest telco app
Reflecting Azercell’s openness philosophy, we’ve streamlined access to essential telecom actions to provide a more transparent and user-centric experience. The home page now has dedicated entry points for managing common scenarios.
Custom tariff builder
Acknowledging that it's impossible to create a tariff plan for everyone, Azercell has launched a custom tariff builder. For this plan, we designed a simple-to-use one-page builder where anyone can make a tariff that best suits their needs with just a few simple slider adjustments.
Our interface solution formed the basis of their marketing campaign.
Cashback for everyone
To avoid disappointing primary user groups with differing needs, we developed a flexible cashback system with Azercell’s product teams. As a result, we have created a unique rewards program that allows users to choose between cash and megabytes as a reward, ensuring that everyone gets the benefit that suits them.
Digital brand redesign
Started as an app's redesign, our efforts on unique app details and elements inspired a trend in the company's visual style. Our proposed visual style established a new standard for other Azercell's digital products and translated to brand materials.
Ecosystem of products
Following the successful launch of the B2C app, Azercell chose to expand our collaboration to other digital products. During this time, we worked on 3 mobile applications, web services, landing pages for special events, and many other interesting sub-projects.
